Greetings to all my faithful readers! At the time of this writing, our great fair will be over. A good time had by all that attended along with tired bodies and aching feet. One thing for sure, everyone had a good time with their family and friends along with making fond memories.
This past Thursday, October 10, I had to go to the ER, and I haven't felt very good since. Before going home, I went by Jack Browns for a few things. On my way to the car, I stopped by the Coke machine to get a Coke. While looking for some quarters this cute little girl came by and asked "Are you OK?”
I said yes. By now her mother came out. Bless her heart, she knew something was wrong. I thanked her for being concerned. She was a fourth grader at Franklinton Elementary. I gave her a dollar to get her a coke for her birthday and they got me one. Her name was Brooklyn Holmes. She had a birthday on September 26. I wished her a happy belated birthday. I couldn't get over her concern for me as we parted. She had the sweetest little smile on her face before getting in the car.
Someone else called my name walking up to give me a big hug was Shonna Lander Statham from Pine. She remembered me from years ago at the 4-H achievement day. We talked briefly about when she was in 4-H and I was a judge at the contest. I remembered one of her exhibit entries was pumpkin roll. Even though I wasn't feeling well Brooklyn and Shonna sure did lift my spirit. I even felt a little lighter because of them. God is so good.
By the way I'll be celebrating another birthday on Monday, October 21st. I will be 84 years young- How about that?
Congratulations to Madison Gautreaux, who was recently crowned Mt Hermon School Jr. High Football Homecoming Queen.

Bryan and I were invited to celebrate two birthdays, and an engagement held at the home of Jay and Laurie Schexneider on a recent Saturday night. Celebrating the birthday were Mr. A.J. Schexnider and Chris Tetreau. The highlight of the night was when Matthew Murphy proposed to Jessica Stringer. She now wears a beautiful diamond ring awaiting the wedding date. Everyone enjoyed birthday cake and other foods while listening to the Band "South Passing Outlaws." The lead singer is Lane Simmons. It was a fun night.
Ms. Linda B. Miller was excited to be one of the Jackpot winners at Jack Browns a week ago.
Pray for my sister Lorell Morris, also for Ms. Janice Schilling, Florine Sorrell, and me. Us girls needs your prayer for healing. Thanks to all of you.
Until next time, be safe.
Give someone a hug today- Love ya- Nell.
