Hello to all of you, my faithfully readers who visit with me every week. I pray you all are doing great, for me I'm still hanging around and a year older. I had another great birthday. I received several beautiful cards in the mail, and phone calls. My sister Lorell sang to me over the phone. Jackie took me out to eat fish at Lane's. The day of my birthday, October 21st, I was at school and got lots of happy birthday wishes and hugs. When I got home that afternoon, my granddaughter Breanna had come to surprise me. She left a beautiful pink and white fresh roses bouquet with two happy birthday balloons and half dozen glaze donuts, on the counter. A "Big Thank You" to everyone who made my birthday a special one. I loved every minute of it.
Bro. Joe Romano filled the pulpit in the absence of our pastor Bro Lenard. Bro. Joe preached interesting sermons. Everyone enjoyed hearing him for two Sundays. Our pastor and wife were on vacations.

Kitty Simmons celebrated her 77th birthday on Friday, October 18th at Heritage Manor. Family and friends gathered to help her celebrate. Those attending were her special niece Jill Sullivan, Lorraine Roshto, Sue M. Burch, with granddaughter Sonni and Renee', Rocky Burch, Perry Valliant and wife Madline, and Kimberly Roberts. They enjoyed birthday cake, ice cream, music and dancing. It was great visiting with Jill at the D.A. Varnado Museum. She was telling me all about getting together for the special occasion. By the way happy belated birthday to Kitty. We used to help in the Women's Building getting ready for the fair. We also had birthdays close together.
Christian sympathy is sent out to the dear family of Mrs. Betty Rocko, 83, who passed away Sunday, October 20. Mrs. Betty will be remembered as a kind spoken lady that loved serving her Lord and loving her family dearly. My son, Bryan drove a truck for her husband, Bro. John, at one time. He ate at her table many times and would always brag on her cooking, especially her biscuits and tomato gravy. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Visitation and funeral service was held at Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church. She will be missed by family members and her friends.
Pray for the sick, lonely and breaved. I'll visit with you same time, same station. Prayerfully Nell.
