Mt. Pisgah Women on Missions met in the church fellowship hall for their April meeting. The topic was prayer with everyone sharing thoughts and scripture. Frames voiced prayer for those on the prayer list and for the missionaries who had a birthday that day. Enjoying a time of fellowship and refreshments were Frances Schilling, Sue Alford, Martha June Miller, and I. We prepared a nice Sunshine Basket for delivery including a get-well card.
Please join us in praying for the sick in our community and surrounding area. Also pray for the families who have lost beloved ones, shut-ins, the lost, and check on the elderly.
Wednesday, April 24th, we had a mini birthday celebration honoring Chris Chaisson at Bogue Chitto Café. He celebrated "Big 40". I made chocolate dream dessert, a favorite of his. We sang happy birthday to him and enjoyed the treat and chit chat. Joining in the celebration were workers, his mom, nephews, Sandy, and Betty, along with a few others. Chris was surprised and excited to see the colorful banners on the front and side doors.
I met my granddaughter Breanna in Tylertown last Tuesday! We ate at Mae's Restaurant. Bryan came and joined us. We visited briefly and went to B & B Salvage. I sent brownies and some baby eggs to Alaya and Kelem, my great grands.
A great day of food and fellowship was enjoyed at the home of Marguerite Lipani. Cousins attending were Betty Jo Cooper, Anita Wood, Sherman and Yvonne Thomas, Jimmy Russell, and Nancy Thomas, and Wayne Bush. Also joining them were Christine King, Kathy Cyprain, and Tina Anders. Everyone enjoyed chicken pie, dressing, side dishes, and desserts. Lots of reminiscing and chit chat was shared.
