VACATION!
My friend came up with the idea of taking a grandmother/granddaughter vacation. We were very smart not to make it a long drive but insisted that the place must be fun for all.
One hour into the drive I heard I'm hungry, the famous are we there yet, get off of me, that's mine and I have to use it. All along I'm thinking it's a great time to take a brief nap. I love making our shared time together into special memories.
I'm sitting on the Beach of Gulf Shores looking at the gulf from the Townhouse's Balcony. It's beautiful and quiet right now. The wind is blowing and so are my locks. The atmosphere is feeling great and I'm taking in every bit of it. I'm a morning person- the children are sleeping and apparently the beach visitors too. Spoke too soon. I see three people with umbrellas and chairs headed to claim a spot on the beach at 6:30 in the morning. Now I hear small feet running through the house. My Serenity moment is about to be interrupted on countdown 5- 4- 3- 2- they've found me! Let the day and fun begin!
