I hope everyone had a fulfilling week. Mine was a mixture of events, as I find myself on the adventure of being a caregiver. Part of being a caregiver is to locate resources that will address the patient's needs. Home Healthcare is one resource that we decided to use. While arranging the initial visit, I informed the nurse that before entering our home we would need to see proof of the covid vaccine or a recent negative test and a mask must be worn over the mouth and nose. The nurse responded that the vaccine is not required for her job, no one had ever asked for this before, all personnel wear masks inside homes, you can still be a carrier with the shot and he/she would have to contact their supervisor. The key phrase for me is, “before entering our home”.
