Hello Everyone, I had the both privilege and the pleasure of attending a Spelling Bee on Saturday. It took place at Bogalusa City Hall and included students in 4th and 5th grades. The students seemed to enjoy competing as their families silently supported them by being present. I personally enjoyed students that I see during the week at work showcasing their love for phonics and spelling. All participants received certificates and those who “placed” received medals as well. You had to be there to appreciate the smiles of pride, from students and their families. Many Thanks to all the organizers of this wonderful event. #OurChildrenOurFuture

*Bro Keith Robinson is scheduled to preach his 1st sermon on Sunday, March 24th @ 2pm. Bro Keith is the son of Pastor Nolan and 1st Lady Angel Robinson who are natives of Varnado. Everyone is invited, encouraged and welcomed to attend.
Live Oak UMC:
*The church congregation celebrated Pastor Terrence and 1st Lady Cynthia August’s 19 years of service. Pastor Earl Robinson was the speaker. The scripture was from 2 Timothy 4:7 and the sermon was entitled “Finish What You Started”. Pastor August: You are “Appreciated”.
First MBC:
*Easter Family Day is scheduled for Saturday, March 23rd from 11am-until. There will be Devotion, food, egg hunt and games for everyone. All are welcome to attend.
Varnado Methodist Church:
*Palm Sunday Service will be held @ 10am on Sunday, March 24th
Mt. Zion MBC (Varnado):
*The church held a free clothes and home goods “Giveaway” on Saturday, March 9th from 11am-1pm. The next “Giveaway” event is scheduled for April 6th. All are welcome to attend.
***Minister Penny Smoot will preach her 1st Sermon on Sunday, March 24th @ 11am.
The Glory Of God Church International:
