March is National Kidney Awareness Month. The 2022 focus is: Building Paths to Better Kidney Care.” This is a subject that is dear and near to my heart because a close friend of mine lives with CKD/Chronic Kidney Disease daily (dependent on dialysis). Managing CKD is necessary in order for one to lead an enjoyable and productive life. Please take advantage of the resources, from the link below to learn more about living with CKD.

Community News:
*I would like to share that I was a part of an exciting event on Saturday, March 12th that truly was a Blessing for me. The Bethlehem Baptist Church (BBC) in Bogalusa sponsored a “Community Gas Giveaway”, on a very cold, windy morning for others. There was no application to complete, no ID required, no qualifications that depended on your race, residency or church affiliation were needed to receive this free gift. With this in mind and in light of the present gasoline prices, I want to say “Thank You” Pastor Christopher Matthews and the entire congregation for addressing a crucial community need. In addition, the Bogalusa Police Department’s presence, interaction and assistance was appreciated and very helpful. Thank you to everyone involved in this love-in-action event.
