Hello Everyone, I hope all is well. I for one continue to seek ways to engage with people, in order to become a better person. Let me share with you a most pleasant experience that I had and continue to take part in. Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a Bible Study Group from Ben’s Ford Baptist Church, at the Snap Fitness Center in Bogalusa. The lesson study was taken from Isaiah 58 beginning with verse 11. Since retiring in January of last year, I have been enjoying fellowshipping with and meeting new people. Studying God’s Word is one of my favorite things to do especially in a group, where others share their life experiences. This group meets on Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m. at Snap Fitness and “Everyone Is Welcome”!

Wesley Ray UMC:
*August 14th was Communion Sunday and Rev. August’s sermon came from the book of Luke 12:50-56, with the focus on verse 56. The sermon was entitled: “Time Is Golden”. The points to remember were to: Seek first the kingdom of God/spend some time with God; Realize that our days are numbered and we should live each one as if it’s our last; The days are evil so, be careful how you live; There is a time for everything so, manage your time wisely and Enjoy the simple things in life. Remember that “Time Is Golden” so, balance your time with God…Continue to Trust God.
*The Lay Leader of the church, Mr. Freddie Jefferson I, was honored with a “90th Birthday Parade” on Saturday, August 13th. Happy Blessed Birthday Mr. Jefferson!
