Happy Wednesday to all of you! With all that is going on in our community, it is truly a blessing to be alive and reasonably healthy. Today I want to share how connecting with people is beneficial for our health. Because of my past work with children in the educational field, I come in contact with students often. For example, this past weekend while having breakfast at a restaurant, I encountered one of my former students. She came from across the restaurant to give me a hug. Also, I saw two other students I knew (not my former students) working at a retail store. I hugged and greeted them both. I enjoyed conversing with one of them and even learned what his goal was immediately after high school (he’s a senior). The reciprocation of hugs, smiles and conversation made me forget about the problems/challenges in my life. I am continuing to strive to Love God & Love People more & more each day. How about you?
