Happy Wednesday to all of you! With all that is going on in our community, it is truly a blessing to be alive and reasonably healthy. Today I want to share how connecting with people is beneficial for our health. Because of my past work with children in the educational field, I come in contact with students often. For example, this past weekend while having breakfast at a restaurant, I encountered one of my former students. She came from across the restaurant to give me a hug. Also, I saw two other students I knew (not my former students) working at a retail store. I hugged and greeted them both. I enjoyed conversing with one of them and even learned what his goal was immediately after high school (he’s a senior). The reciprocation of hugs, smiles and conversation made me forget about the problems/challenges in my life. I am continuing to strive to Love God & Love People more & more each day. How about you? *A Back-to-School Bash will be held on Saturday, August 27th @ 3p.m.
*Revival Service was held on Aug. 14 @ 9:30 a.m. and continued on August 15-17 @ 6p.m. nightly. The evangelist was Bro/ Curtis Epnet and the theme was: Choose Your King (Matthew 6:24).

*Happy Blessed 102 Year Birthday to my Grandmother; Emily Elizabeth (Young) Moses!!! My grandmother was born on August 23, 1920 to Samuel Sr. and Clara (Jefferson) Young. I Thank God for allowing her to be an active part of my life for all of these years. May the Good Lord continue to Bless and Keep her in His Care. Amen!
