I hope everyone enjoyed the Labor Day Holiday! Here are a few interesting facts about this holiday: Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers; it is traditionally observed on the first Monday in September, and it was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century. Lastly, Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894. This is a holiday that was founded for an important purpose. I hope all American workers enjoyed their day.

Reflection:
*While shopping in our local grocery store, I casually greeted one of the stockers (knowing they had recently lost a loved one) with the question, “How have you been doing”? The many words of emotions and feelings that this individual shared with me had my complete attention. My ears and my heart received every verbal expression that was freely spoken. In addition, an abundance of honor was bestowed upon their loved one that transitioned, from this earthly life. As we parted ways, this dear soul said, “Thank you I needed that”. #ListeningIsKindness *GPigott
