weather was beautiful for the entirety of the Fair is an understatement. We were Blessed with absolutely outstanding weather. I had the privilege of volunteering as a “Sitter” for the Pigott Cabin, in the Mile Branch Settlement at the Fair. I met so many friendly people. The many children that came through were especially curious, lively and a sheer joy! I had never done this before but I am certainly considering doing it again. #TryNewThings
Church News:
Wesley Ray UMC:
*The Youth did an outstanding job: reading scripture, marching, singing, ushering and being Acolytes, during Youth Sunday. Pastor August’s sermon was entitled “Mercy” (Luke 18:13). He reminded us that: God’s Mercy is offered freely and generously so that all people may find their way back to God. Also, no matter what, each of us has a need for God's Mercy. In addition, the Youth Service included a Breast Cancer Awareness giving of gifts and tokens of love by: Sis. Corrine Harry, Sis. Dorothy Moses and Sis. Marie Brooks.

Reflections:
*I visited with my grandmother in Franklinton on Friday, after volunteering at and enjoying the Fair. She is a delight to be around. If laughter is medicine, we both got a triple dose of it, during my visit. We laughed about memories, inflation, each other and much more. My grandmother, Emily Elizabeth (Young) Moses, did not just make it to 102 years (8/23/22), she is living in it and I am profoundly Blessed to be able to enjoy her company.
