*Worship Service was held in the sanctuary on November 14th, after a period of parking lot worship services due to covid19 precautions. Pastor Terrence August’s message came from Psalm 92:12-15. He challenged us to consider how God’s Grace is active in our lives, on a daily basis. Rev. August encouraged us all to be Thankful for God’s Grace. Also during the service, Sis. August recognized and saluted the veterans for their service to our country, in keeping with the Veteran’s Day Holiday Celebration.
Mary’s Chapel UMC:
*The 2nd Harvest Mobile Food Bank distribution is scheduled for the 1st Wednesday of each month, beginning at 8 a.m.

Varnado High School VHS:
**Senior, Erica Wiggins, was named to the 2021-2022 All-Academic Composite Volleyball team. The All-Academic 4.00 Scholar Team is composed of senior student-athletes who have attained the highest grade point averages from all classes/divisions in their specific sport. As a recipient of this award, Erica was honored prior to the start of each Divisional Championship game at the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA in November. Congratulations Erica!
***The VHS FFA and Ag students participated in a FFA Day of Service Event where students pressure washed and repainted the Ag Shop, on campus. This Group received the” Living to Serve Grant”, from the National FFA. Good Job Students!
On November 18th, the Varnado FFA hosted the Washington Parish FFA Leadership Development Event Competition and placed as follows: Lauryn Smith: 1st place Employment Skills - Sarah Knight: 1st place Prepared Public Speaking and 2nd place Creed Speaking - Jamaya Dalcour: 4th place Extemporaneous Public Speaking -
