The pleasant temperatures that we have been having lately are amazing compared to those previous days of hard freezes. They gave many of us the chance to save money on our gas/light bills and gave these resources the opportunity to be replenished. In addition, I want to say “Thank You” to all of the utility workers for all that you do for our communities (water, electric, gas, sanitation, etc.).
Church News:
Angie Baptist Church (ABC):
*The church sponsored a “Youth Lock-In” on December 28 (5pm)-29 (8:30am) for grades 6th-12th. The youth were treated to Ice Skating in Columbia and Biblical fellowship, fun and food. There is nothing like spending time with young people simply because you care, Our young people need and deserve this.
First Missionary Baptist Church (FMBC Varnado):
*The church’s Youth are attending the Winter JAM Youth Retreat 2023 in Folsom, LA on Jan 13th -14th. The Theme is “Woven: Finding Purpose in Our Pain”, {Genesis 50:20
“But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring about as it is this day, to save many people alive”). The Speaker for this event will be Pastor, Marcus Rosa (Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church Bogalusa). Taking the time to train up our Youth in Godly righteousness is essential. Again, our young people need and deserve this.
