Hello Everyone! I hope all is well on this last Wednesday, in the month of January. We have had some warm, cool, cold and some rainy days this month. All of these elements are divinely designed and essential for our existence. Be grateful for them all…I am.

Mary’s Chapel UMC:
*Second Harvest food distribution is scheduled for the 1st Wednesday in February, which falls on February 1st, beginning at 8 a.m.
Live Oak UMC:
*The 5th Sunday/January 29th Circuit Sunday School will be held at the church and begins at 9:30 a.m.
First United Pentecostal Church (Varnado):
*The Kid’s Daily Prayer Hour 12-1 p.m. Please pray for all children during this hour daily. *Jeremiah 29:12 - Then will you call on me and come and pray to me and I will listen. Amen.

*Stuart’s Cafe in Angie recently made a donation to the VHS Booster Club in support of the Lady Cats Softball Team. What a wonderful show of support from one of our local businesses.
*The Concerned Citizens of Angie (CCOA) made another donation to the Music/Band Department this month. This organization is composed of citizens from the Angie,Live Oak, Varnado and Wesley Ray Communities.

Community News:
*Washington Parish School Board Member, Rev. Lesley McKinley was recently sworn in to serve a fourth term as the District 9 representative. In addition, he was elected Vice President of the School Board. Congratulations and Continued Blessings Rev. McKinley.
*Denise Evans-Robinson (a resident of Angie) is the Mardi Gras “Krewe of Unity” Queen for 2023. Bogalusa Mayor Tyrin Truong is the 2023 King. The 6th Annual Krewe of Unity Ball is scheduled for Saturday, February 4th at the American Legion in Bogalusa.
