The Labor Day Holiday is on Monday, September 3rd and falls on the 1st Monday in September annually. Congress passed an act making Labor Day a legal holiday in the District of Columbia and the territories. *Youth Sunday Worship Service was held on August 27th @ 11am. Pastor August’s sermon was entitled: If It Had Not Been (for the Lord on our side} Psalm 124:1. Those of us in attendance were reminded that when God rescues us from a situation we need to: Acknowledge that God Is, Give God Praise in all things and Trust God for All things. Amen.

*Congratulations to teacher, Mr. Justin Foster who has been named the new Head Basketball Coach for the boys. Coach Foster is a graduate of the VHS Class of 2003.
*A Back to School Awards program was held on Friday, August 25th forstudents who earned their CORE certification in the 2022-2023 school year and their EMT certification over the summer. Also, FFA and Agriculture students who earned awards over the summer were recognized. What a wonderful way to start the 2023-2024 school year.
