The views of the moon both day and night were spectacular last week. I hope many of you took the time to pause and admire God’s handiwork. In the midst of all the chaotic things that are going on in our communities, we should remember that God created the Earth and there is beauty in His creation.

*The Wesley Ray UMC (Angie, LA) Annual Homecoming Service will begin at 11:00am on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Rev. George Burris, Pastor of the Historic St. James Baptist Church, in Madisonville will preach the 11:00am message. All are invited and welcomed to attend.

*The church congregation celebrated its 153rd year Homecoming Service on Sunday, September 3rd @ 8:30 am. Rev. E. L. Powell was the Guest Messenger for this great occasion.
Mt. Zion MBC (Varnado):
*Pastor Byron Muse is scheduled to preach on Thursday, September 7th, during the three night revival at Second Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA. Services begin at 7:00 p.m. nightly.
* There will be a FREE clothes & home goods give-away on Saturday, September 9th from 11am - 1pm @ the church.

*A Community Pep Rally is scheduled for Thursday, September 7th beginning @5:30pm.
