Hello Everyone! Yes, it’s very cold outside but, let's remember to keep our hearts warm with love for one another. Such was the 20th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Parade and Program that I attended on Saturday to celebrate the life of a man that loved his fellow man. This celebration was sponsored by the Concerned Citizens Of Angie (CCOA) and was held at the Wesley Ray United Methodist Church (WRUMC). The guest speaker for this wonderful occasion was Ret. Lt. Colonel Terry A. Owens, a native of Varnado, LA. The 2024 MLK Royalty are the Honorable King E-5 Frank Harry, Sr. and the Honorable Queen Ms. Emma Jean Ross. The CCOA Community Choir and the Vanado High School Blue Angels delivered wonderful presentations, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Many thanks are extended to the CCOA Organization for a job well done!
