Hello there and Happy Fourth of July. My late grandmother, Oare Dawson Magee, was born on this celebration day in 1905. Now that's really back in the days, most likely didn't have vehicles on the road then, just wagons, horses, buggies and your feet with no shoes!
Last Saturday there were so many reunions and other functions going on. There was the Burton family, we are talking about Chris Burton. He really looks well, and he had a good time with family, thank God.
Then there was the late Otis Brown family. One of his sons, Donell Brown, could have been named Otis Jr. We also did the purple and white balloon release in memory of his daughter, the late Bessie Brown Bickham. The reunions were at Rev. Carlos Hart’s place. The decorations were beautiful, and they had plenty of soul food. That smoked chicken was kicking right into our mouths. And don't forget that seafood. We topped it off with Tilly's Snowballs to cool us down. It was so hot, we thought we were baking in the oven. I got to chill out with many friends and other relatives like the Topps and Magees. We enjoyed Pastor Johnny and his wife Ms. Pat and Rev. Carlos' wife.
There were other reunions like the Hart family and the Bernard Magee family.
Pray for all the sick and shut-ins all over the land!
