Hello there and happy new year to everyone who is still alive.
I am going to talk about someone who you have heard the name of many times now, from Washington Parish Library. and other parishes here in Franklinton. Yes, you heard of Mrs. Etta Magee. She is married to Mr. Rob Magee, a man of few words. Mrs. Etta has three sons and one daughter. The children are very sweet like her too.
She had her last celebration for her 30 years retirement from the library, and celebrated her birthday on January 20, 2024, at 2 PM at the Lighthouse Church where she is a member there. Her pastor is Elder Norman Robinson. It was a knockout in the park, the church was almost full many of her family and friends were there, she is so very down to Earth, who used to be very shy, but God has really brought her out.
She had family here from Houston, Texas. Jeff Magee, her sister Wanda Magee, and their brother came too. Ms. Etta's two sisters-in-law were there and one of them we know very well which is Ms. Pearl Wilson along with her husband who lives in Baton Rouge. She is the sister of Ms. Nell Wilson Robinson.
Ms. Etta is a missionary, teacher, and bus driver. She teaches Bible lessons at 7 p.m. and she breaks the Bible down all the way to the ground. She knows the Bible very well!
Her blood sisters are me, Mary Ann Warren, and Mae Brown. Ms. Etta worked all over the parishes, her co-workers were there, Ms. Linda Ginn, and others. They are very good Christian friends, in the Lord. Ms. Etta was very proud of her granddaughter and great granddaughter who was a very good mistress of ceremony for her program. Ms. Etta’s colors was orange, black, white, and she had a large cake. Ms. Etta retired from her regular job, but she has plenty more work that she does for the Lord. She thanks all who came to the program and all who prayed for her.
I would kike to congratulate 3 local authors right here in Franklinton, Elder Golden, Larry Stewart, and Ms. Margaret Wheeler. God bless you all!
Please send our news to me on my cell, 985-259-5993, and after January 31st call, 985-839-2809. It will be cut off.
Please pray for the world, Brenda.
