Hello there, hope all is well, thank God for all our black leaders that paved the way for all of us.
Listen people every October New Jerusalem MB church pastor by Rev. Johnny Causey Sr. honors their seniors' citizens. In October 2023 they had a senior citizens ball in honor of a king and queen which they were crowned, voted on by those who attended the ball. The first couple was husband and wife, Patricia and Henry Harrison. Patricia served as principal of the VB School. She served over 10 years as financial secretary for the church, still working with the public school teachers and many other things. The husband is faithful at his church too. The guest speaker was Davion Brown of the Oak Ridge MB Church.
The next member is a faithful member, her name is Mrs. Ruby Tate, and she is a part of the senior choir, and she served as church secretary for over thirty years. She is a part of the Sunday school, used to be church announcer and did many other things in the church too.
The next person is a very sweet person is Mrs. Leaudry Conners, she was able to attend the ball she was crowned and recognized for all her accomplishment at New Jerusalem MB church. Sister Connors was in a train accident over 7 years ago, a miracle woman, she now lives with her daughter in Baton Rouge. But she was a faithful member at Jerusalem. She serves on Sunday school board, a teacher taught on Wednesday nights teen mission youth director for the district.
Part of the community prayer band was a member of the senior mission 60 and above ministry. And finally, Mrs. Frances Smith she is fateful until her health started to fall, she is blessed to live in her 90 years as of now. They all received their crown at this special ball in October 2023. It was over 45 people.
Who attends God has bless them all.
