Fair Week is now over, and I know my feet are killing me from all the walking and standing I have done all week. It was absolutely wonderful to get to see old friends and my “newer” friends. It was so fun to see former students I taught and their families. I did not get to ride any rides at all this year, but Annalise sure did! Gracie having a fractured foot in a boot was unable to, so we spent a lot of time in Mile Branch at the Jones Cabin and General Store. There was just so much to do! I always have my usual things I “have” to do, and I think I succeeded at that. James was actually able to be home for the Fair, so we were excited for that as well.I tried to soak everything in, especially with Gracie being a Senior this year. I am so grateful for our friends and family who helped us make such wonderful memories.
Annalise received first place and Best of Show on a photo of a jellyfish she took while at the Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans.Gracie received second place on her quilling art. If you do not know what quilling is, do yourself a favor and look it up. It is so intricate, detailed, and to me relaxing.
All of the Talented Art Students did an ASTOUNDING job on their artwork, photos, sculptures, etc. I wish I were that good at something! We loved looking at the crafts, pictures, writings, animals, shops, etc.
