I do not remember my Senior Year being so busy! Franklinton High School had their Senior Night this past Friday. It was absolutely amazing seeing all of the Seniors being honored. These students work hard for their sports, activities, band, and support! We are so grateful for those who have worked with our children and fed into their education and lives. Words can never express how truly thankful we are for all of you.
Enon Baptist Church Youth had a great turn out for Enon Night on the Levee. Dylan and Stuart Varnado provided music and the Youth did a great job serving. Thank you to all who purchased, cooked, and served.
We had two baptisms Sunday, so thankful for Bella and Raiza.
Enon will have their supper/business meeting November 9th. The Youth will be doing the Cajun Corn Maze Saturday November 12th.
Happy birthday to Moni Jones; our former Enon Elementary School Principal who is now School Board Superintendent Frances Varnado, Betty Gilly, and Bonnie Jones.
November 19th will be the Churchwide Marshmallow Olympics and Blessing of Food. We exceeded our Georgia Barnette Goal and raised $1,050. Thanksgiving Supper will be Sunday November 20th at 6 pm. Bring a dish and join us for good fellowship.
December 3rd our church will take part in the live Life of Christ at Mile Branch Christmas. It will be from 6 pm to about 10 pm.
Condolences to the families of Larry Pizani and Joyce Seal.
Enon Elementary School had a great Red Ribbon Week and a FABULOUS Halloween to dress up for. The costumes were outstanding, not only for the students, but the teachers and staff as well. We had a great Academic Night last week. Parents were able to come see what it is like in the classroom and to do actual lessons. We thank each of you for your support.
I hope you all were able to get out and vote on Tuesday. It is so important to exercise your civic duty. Remember there are others who wish they were able to vote like we do.
Good luck to all the schools from Washington Parish in the football playoffs this week. Franklinton will be traveling to Cecilia, which is a little over 2 hours away. We are praying for safety and safe travels.
Have a great week. If you have anything you would like for me to add to my column just message or email me. I would be happy to add your happenings. Until next week……..
