The Youth of Enon Baptist Church had Mountain Top Youth Sunday this past weekend. It was a wonderful day of worship led by the Youth with the message given by Chris Ginn. There was a good variety of powerful worship music and a message about the wide path and narrow path. (wide path is easy and popular and narrow path is not easy and is unpopular) My daughter Annalise also made a profession of faith.
The Youth are selling veggies to raise funds for church camp this summer. The veggies will be sold during January and February, and the vegetables will then be delivered in March. (I believe March 11th)
Children in Action will resume this Wednesday and they will be learning about missions! If you would like to cook a meal for Wednesday evenings, talk with Brother Chris.
The Annual Enon Block Party will be at the end of April. We are preparing for the Block Party now. If you are interested in helping, please contact Brother Chris Wheeler.
Blessing of Food will be January 21st.

We had a wonderful gathering for Aunt Janie Thigpen’s 91st birthday this past weekend. Aunt Janie along with Sally Thigpen, Beryl Jo Sharp, Charlotte Ginn, Raylene Perry, Kim Talley, Clara Fay Adams, Annalise Thigpen, Gracie Thigpen, Rosetta Miller, James Thigpen, and myself had a grand time eating birthday cake, laughing, and telling stories. Enon Elementary School will have their Winter Wonderland Dance on January 20th.
The Mother/Son dance is from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm and the Daddy/Daughter Dance from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. It is for 2nd grade to 6th grade, and tickets are $10 per person.
Tryouts for Junior High Support groups are right around the corner! Dance Clinic and Tryouts: January 30th to February 2nd, Cheer Clinic and Tryouts: February 13thto February 16th, Pep Clinic and Tryouts: February 27th to March 2nd, and Flag Tryouts: March 6th to March 9th. There will be a mandatory Support Group Tryout Parent Meeting on January 19th at 6:30 pm in the FJHS Cafeteria.
January 20th and January 27th will be a $1 dress day.
The Enon Library has enjoyed seeing so many Enon Elementary School students the past couple of weeks, both during and after school!
