Mr. Jesse Corkern celebrated his 73rd birthday on March 1st. He was celebrated and surrounded by friends and family at his home. Lots of yummy cake, ice cream, and hot dogs were served and Mr. Jesse had the best time visiting with others. Mr. Jesse just keep on smiling, we all hope you had a grand day! You sure make my heart happy!
There was a great turn out Saturday for my brother Mike Sharp who is battling leukemia. (If you saw a picture of him, you wouldn’t guess anything was wrong.) My sweet nephdog BEAR was there selling “doggy kisses” for a dollar, along with others selling t-shirts, baked goods, raffle tickets, etc. Please keep Mike and our family in your prayers as we take this detour on life’s journey. There will be a Blood Drive on March 18th at District 7 Fire Department Central Station. I ask each of you if you can, please give blood or platelets. There are so many people out there who are in desperate need of blood and platelets. Also, if you feel led, you can join Be the Match for those who are searching for Bone Marrow Matches. I feel led to research all I can about these issues and programs not only for my family, but others as well.

Our 6th grade students had an informative presentation from the Washington Parish Youth Coalition last week. The Youth Coalition helps educate students about the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol.
EES had several students place at the Parish Level for the Young Authors Contest, we are so excited for them!
Congratulations to all of our students who made support groups for Franklinton Jr. High, they are Dance Team: McKinley Rice and Bella Ikerd, Cheer Team: Adaleigh Bascle and Chelsi Newcomb, and Pep Squad: Hailey Finch.
The Enon Library will have Movie Time on Thursdays at 3 pm. March 9th is “Green Eggs and Ham”, March 16th is “How to Catch a Leprechaun”, March 23rd is “Go Snoopy, Go”, and March 30th is “Bugs Bunny Easter Funnies.”
Kindergarten, First, and Second graders read books and completed activities in honor of Dr. Seuss last week. Read Across America was a huge hit at the Enon Library as well. Make sure your kiddos go by the library and check out a book to add their name to the drawing for a giant chocolate Easter Bunny.
I hope you all have a wonderful week. If you have births, weddings, family reunions, or school activities you would like for me to share, feel free to message me. Until next time………….
