No one told me how stressful it would be to have a child graduating from high school, turning 18, and dealing with them going off to college. If I had known it was going to be like this, I would have just kept her in a bubble. (not really but you get the point) Gracie will graduate May 11th at 7 pm from Franklinton High School (yes you all are invited), turn 18 on May 24th, and somewhere in all this we will take a Senior Trip, and get everything ready for college. (I am not quite sure how we will get what she needs to Houghton University, but we will make it happen!) Throw into the mix trying to complete LEAP testing for Annalise and my students, end of the year activities, and impatiently waiting to see if Ron or I are a bone marrow match for Mike. (at this writing we don’t know yet, but praying we know soon)
June 2nd Enon Baptist Church will be having The Great Bible Race. It will be from 6 pm to 8 pm. Make sure you brush up on your Bible Drill Skills, the Children in Action are ready for the adults!
EBC Block Party is April 29th from 10 am to 2 pm, we would love to have you come fellowship with us! There will be games, music, stories, food, testimonies, door prizes, etc. so come join in on the fun.
Graduate recognition is May 7th and Baby Dedication is on Mother’s Day.
May 13th EBC will have a Homestead Day (time to be announced) Many different skills will be shared like cooking, sewing, hunting, mechanic, etc. If you can’t join us for worship in person, you can always join us on Facebook Live.
Any 6th graders who are interested in FJHS Girls Basketball Tryouts, they will be May 3rd and 4th from 3 pm to 5 pm.
If you are interested in registering your child for Pre-K or Kindergarten, you can go ahead and register with us now. We look forward to having our new Enon Eagles join us.
LEAP Testing starts this week. Please make sure your child is on time, gets a good night’s rest, and has a nutritious breakfast.
Our Spirit Contest has been “off the chain” (pun intended) the chains for each class have been growing by leaps and bounds.
Movie Time this week at the Enon Library is The Lorax on April 27th at 3 pm.
May 2nd there will be a Hurricane Awareness Tour at the Lakefront Airport in New Orleans, LA Public Tours 1:30-3:30. There will be Hurricane Hunters, tours of Hurricane Hunter Aircraft, and interaction with local meteorologists.
Don’t forget to stop by the library to register your child for the Summer Reading Program.
May 6th is the FIRED UP FOR MIKE car and bike show at Marvin Magee Campground. There will be food, music by Cypress Creek with Jason Phelps, music by Joel Galloway, lots of cars and bikes, among other things. This is going to be a good time, so come on out and visit with us!
