For the last few months my days have been running together. I honestly can’t keep up with my thoughts or what day it is, please bear with me through this process. If I leave something out or repeat myself, it is me, not you.
On May 25 Mike’s Match gave his or her bone marrow for him. Mike will receive the bone marrow on June 14th, two days after his 58th birthday. We are forever grateful for the gift of life and the donor who gave. Maybe one day we will be able to meet them and thank them in person. If you are interested in becoming a Match to give the Gift of Life, go to www.bethematch.org.
We are on vacation right now in the Great Smoky Mountains of course. My dad always played music every Friday night at a little place called Rocky Branch Community Center in Walland, TN. We were able to bring a picture of him for their Memorial Wall, for those who have passed on. It was extremely difficult not physically seeing him sitting there playing, but “You Are My Sunshine” played in two different music rooms while we were there. (That was the song that played as we walked out of the church for his funeral) I know it was a wink from Dad, letting us know that everything is going to be alright.

I hope you all had a safe Memorial Day weekend and remember those who have sacrificed for us to have the freedoms we have today. We owe so much for those who laid their lives down so we can enjoy the things we do today. I am so thankful for our military. Until next week….
