I am with my daughters at National Beta Convention in Louisville, KY helping represent Franklinton High School. I can’t tell you how proud I am of each of these students. They worked so incredibly hard and if they place in the top or not, they made it this far! I have never driven this far with me being the only driver and that was quite interesting. If you think the roads in New Orleans are bad, just visit Kentucky --- those roads and interstates nearly did me in.
If you ever get a chance to go the Ark in Kentucky, I highly recommend it. I was in awe of the boat itself and all the things they have to do. There is the Ark, a zoo, a garden, movies, etc. I had no idea how much there was to do there. It is amazing what God has done for us. We did get to walk with kangaroos, watch a sloth go get leaves, pet goats, you could ride camels, etc. While we were there, it was the last day for their Country and Bluegrass Fest. (of course it was because, well my dad, lol) I have loved visiting.

Mike received his new lease on life (bone marrow transplant) on June 14th. I tell you all this, it is amazing how far science has come. Mike’s marrow was frozen in a bag and put in a container with liquid nitrogen. When the doctors and the others took the bag out of the container it looked like it was from a SciFi movie with the smoke from the liquid nitrogen coming out.
I hope you all have a wonderful and safe week. Until next time………
