One of my best friend’s dad passed away this weekend. She and I have been friends since early childhood and as teens and when we got older became the best of friends. We have been there for each other through funerals, weddings, births, moves, the good and the bad, thick and thin. I am absolutely broken hearted for her and her family. Mr. Ray Perry was a wonderful bass singer, fabulous Pops and husband, and just an all-around funny guy in a grumpy way. (Anytime you said, “Hey Mr. Ray, how are ya?” he would reply, “Oh, grumpy as ever!”) Mr. Ray will be sorely missed.

My husband and I were able to get away for the weekend to a wonderful place in Brookhaven, MS called The Inn on Whitworth. I highly recommend it. There were several places to explore and eat and we really enjoyed it. If you ever get the chance Magnolia Blues is a great place to eat there as well. I hope you all have a great week spending as much time as you can with those you love and hold dear. Until next time…..
