The weekends these days are just not long enough. Like the meme says, there need to be a day between Saturday and Sunday called Sunturday. I can’t stress this suggestion enough, especially when traveling to Shreveport up in one day and back the next. I absolutely love going to visit with Gracie, but I sure am tired the rest of the week. I don’t mind it though. We all enjoy spending time together.
The Youth at Enon Baptist Church had their Pancake Breakfast this weekend and had over $350 in donations. Those pancakes sure were good!
Sunday nights the Youth will have a new study called “Share Jesus Without Fear”. Dinner at 5:30 pm and Bible Study at 6:00 pm. The Annual Chili Cookoff and Fall Fest is September 30th. I plan to have a flyer put in the paper this week with information.
There will be a Bridal Tea Shower for Siera Williams on October 8th from 2-4 pm.

The International Paper Foundation gave a generous grant for books to be checked out and activity books for all Washington Parish Library Branches. The books are entitled, “We Are All Special” and are educational coloring and activity books. Our Enon Eagles were so excited to see these. Check with the library to see what the movies will be this month for Thursday movies.
The Mega Dough Fundraiser will be due for Enon Elementary on September 29th. Thank you so much for your support.
