Well, the 2023 Washington Parish Free Fair was one for the books. It didn’t really go as planned for the most part, we had some sicklies, some too much sun, many my feet hurt, and a lot of I am just worn out. It is hard to believe I will have a Senior at next year’s Fair! (Annalise) Each year I say I am going to do one thing or another and never get it done, there is always next year though!
Congratulations to our Enon Eagle Anne Rayburn who won 1st place in the 5th Grade Spelling Bee Contest at Mile Branch. Also, in the 6th Grade Spelling Bee at Mile Branch, our Enon Eagle Hunter Young received 2nd place. Great job!
Our 4th through 6th graders did an amazing job performing on the Main Stage at the Fair! Great performance ladies and gentlemen! Thank you to Mrs. Brittany Bryant Galloway for doing such a great job directing! (Next up is the Christmas Program lol)
This week is Red Ribbon Week, please check your calendar or our Facebook page to see what to wear each day. Can’t wait to see all the different outfits our students come up with!
Happy birthday to one of our amazing paras Ashley Jenkins, Faith Chauvin Ginn, Cindy Corkern, Jolene Black, Karen Watson, Amy Long Carpenter, Randy Stafford, and Peggy Lyles.

I know many people went on trips this week instead of doing the Fair. My husband had to go out of town to Salt Lake City, Utah for work. He flew out on Sunday and drove back on Tuesday. (no not straight through) I wish I could have gone with him, but teachers know we try to fit in as many appointments, doctors and otherwise when we are off on break. Maybe I can go next time? If you have any extra excitement going on, feel free to email me. I would love to share it. Have a wonderful week. Until next time……
