What a week it has been! I am thankful both girls have jobs, but this week has been a whirlwind. Both girls worked this week, there was a lot of cooking, some organizing, and a lot of family/birthday time. We went to the coast overnight to celebrate my birthday, shop, and relax. On the 26th we went to church, then ate at the Chimes with immediate and extended family. Thank you all for the well wishes.
The ladies had a Jesse Tree Ornament workshop at Mrs. Diana Casanova’s over the break. I really enjoyed doing this and learning more about my painting skills, or lack thereof. She and her daughter Kristen Thomas did a great job hosting, and helping with the ornaments. We had a great time filled with laughter, concentration, and fellowshipping.
Last week Brother Chris preached on “Even If” and this week was “Overcoming Fear”. These were very powerful sermons that spoke to me deeply. I know everyone has some type of fear, but with God by our side, we don’t need to have any fear. We are decorating the sanctuary with poinsettias for the month of December in honor or memory of someone. They are $11 each, you can check with Jennifer Ginn if you would like to purchase one.
December 10th will be “Children’s Day” at church. The morning worship will be geared to our children with a special message just for them. (but helpful for all) After church there will be hotdogs, chili, and frito pie for lunch.
December 16th will be Parent’s Night Out, stay tuned for more information.
Condolences to the families of Glenn Carrier, Jim Cothern, Sidney Porrier, Guynn Sowell, and Shirley Rushing.
Happy Birthday to Hunter Thomas, Carlie Whitfield, Heather Jenkins Knight, Russell Guthrie, Lee Stevens, Jo Perry, Darren Taylor, Hunter Breland.
Our Enon Eagles are preparing for the Christmas Program. I will have more information from Mrs. Brittany Galloway soon! The Enon Library was closed for a few days, but will be back open November 28th. The 4-H Club took up canned good donations the week before Thanksgiving for the Food Bank. Thank you to all who participated.
I hope you all have a great week. Can you believe it will be December this week?
By the way, don’t forget the Mile Branch Pioneer Christmas December 1st through 3rd. I am so excited to see the decorations, people, goodies, ornaments, and the parade!
Until next time…..
