Thursday evening, my family and I were invited to the Lighting of the Angel Tree at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. It was a humbling experience and a beautiful ceremony. My dad and his great, great niece Hazel Grace Simmons were one of the ones represented during this ceremony. This time of year can be sad for those who have lost friends and loved ones, but it can also be full of wonderful memories.
The Washington Parish Food Bank is in need of canned vegetables, grits, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, dried bean, juices, and boxed rice sides.
The Youth of Enon Baptist Church will have their Christmas Party December 20th at Ava Thomas’ house. Parent’s Night Out will be December 16th.

The Washington Parish School Board is hiring Paraprofessionals. The application period runs until December 14th.
Enon Elementary School will have their Christmas Program on December 18th at 6 pm. December 19th will be a half day for students and will begin our Christmas break! Students will return on January 8th.
December 15th the Enon Library will have Scrabble at 2 pm.
