Welcome 2024! It is hard to believe we have already completed the first week of January, much less 2024! I hope you all had a safe and fun New Year’s and are getting back into the groove of things. The kids will be going back to school this week, getting report cards, etc. Monday, January 15th is Martin Luther King Day, so school will be out that day.
The Lord’s Supper was observed at Enon Baptist Church this past Sunday. Brother Chris Wheeler had a wonderful sermon entitled “The Church in Your House” Philemon 2. It was very powerful and definitely spoke to my heart. If you get a chance, you can watch it on Facebook. I hope it blesses you as much as it did me. Wednesday Nights from 5:30 pm to 7 pm the Youth will have dinner, fellowship, games, and devotion. Sunday Nights from 5:30 pm to 7 pm the Youth will have dinner and “Share Jesus Without Fear”. The Children in Action will be learning about Missions on Wednesday nights. The Women’s Retreat is coming up soon. Please be in prayer for the retreat and that lives will be touched. There will be a housewarming for Brad, Sarah, and Weston Sanson on January 28th from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Condolences to the families of Tarver Braddock and Melvin Sumrall.
Happy birthday to Mike Fussell, Skippy Robert, Christy Robertson, Arie Bowman, Gabby Taylor, Jason Burch, Lenny Stephens, Chuck Lanham, Julie Williams, Jason Knight, Jake Tate, Heather Rice, Danni McNeese Xayasone, and Allen Burris.
There was a baby shower honoring Faith and Zach Ginn for the upcoming arrival of baby Oliver Blake this past weekend. This K.K. can’t wait to watch him grow! We are so excited for them.
Enon Elementary School will have their Winter Wonderland Ball (Daddy/Daughter and Mother/Son Ball) on Friday, January 12th. We can’t wait to see our Eagles all dressed up!
January is National Blood Donor Month. Riverside Medical Center will have the Blood Mobile set up in their parking lot on January 12 from 12 pm to 6 pm.
The Enon Library has movies for after school on Thursdays in January. January 11th is Snowbody Loves Me, January 18th is Snow Mouse, January 25th is Snow Days. You can check out all of their activities on their Facebook page.
I hope you all have a wonderful week! Looking forward to hearing from you soon about all of the exciting trips, baby/wedding showers, weddings, family reunions, etc. Thank you for all of your encouragement! Until next time…..
