Franklinton High School Homecoming week has wrapped up. It was a fun, busy, and eventful week to say the least. All the students did a fabulous job at thinking outside of the box for the dress up days. I saw a Bob Ross and his painting for Duo/Twins Day, along with Peanut Butter and Jelly, and the Surfers and Bikers from Teen Beach Movie. It is always fun to see what the students can come up with.
Mrs. Margaret Townsend was the organist at Enon Baptist Church for nearly 40 years. She was a former teacher and extremely talented at growing flowers, gardening, crocheting, smocking, and quilting. I am so thankful that I had her smock some dresses for my daughters when they were little, and she made special blocks for most of the babies in Enon as a gift at baby showers. Sadly, she passed away this past week. She will be sorely missed.
I heard a lot of good things about the Love on Bogalusa Event. Between those who were working it and those observing and receiving the love, a great job was done all around. Thank you to those who participated.
