It is FAIR WEEK in Washington Parish, and we could not be more excited. This has always been a wonderful time of year for me. I love seeing old friends, meeting new friends, the animals at Old MacDonald’s Farm, Mile Branch, the rides, the arts/crafts, and just the family atmosphere. I guess I should say the food as well. The cheese and crackers, cracklins, boudin balls, chicken on a stick, funnel cakes, and fried chicken among other items are on the top of our list. If you can’t find me at home, you can find me at the FAIR!
There will be no church activities the week of the Fair at Enon Baptist Church; however, we will be passing out tracts Thursday-Saturday starting at 7 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. We will have folks handing out water at the water booth in the Commercial Building from 1-2pm and 3-4 pm on Thursday, Coffee at Mile Branch from 4-5 pm on Friday. We will have singing at Half Moon Bluff Church during the week as well. The Youth will not meet next Sunday. Enon Night on the Levee tickets are available, if you are interested check with a Youth or Mrs. Miranda. If you would like to donate anything toward Night on the Levee, check with Mrs. Miranda. Happy birthday to Sandra Stevens, Cindy Pace, Bruce Taber, Brandon Thomas, Brenda Voth Bowen, my brother-in-law David Thigpen, and one of our amazing Pre-K paras Ashley Jenkins.
