The beauty of living in Louisiana is you never know what the weather will be like from day to day. You may have all the seasons in one day or not. This weekend it turned COLD, we did not see any flurries here at my house, but it is cold for sure. I hope each of you are keeping warm and staying dry.
Students at Enon Elementary have been working hard! Pre-K is learning about pets, how to care for them, and what they need. 4th grade has been testing polymers in plastic. Yes, I know, I need to ask a 4th grader to explain to me as well too! Check out the school Facebook page for information about giving your student access to Open eBooks, a library app. Please make sure your 1st-6thgraders turn in their permission slips for Musicville by January 28th. Don’t forget the Enon Library is having Movie Time on Thursdays at 3 pm.
Happy birthday to our wonderful secretary Mrs. Heather Rice, Sybil Corkern Monday, one of our amazing 4th grade teachers April Joiner, Allen Burris, Andrew Gilly, Harriett Hickman, Ashley Burch, Savanna Wheeler Simpson, one of our fabulous 3rd grade teachers Alisha Thomas, and Camellia Gatewood.

We are preparing for the annual Block Party. If you would like to help in any way, please let Brother Chris know. Blessing of the Food will be January 22nd. The Youth will be doing their Veggie Sale until mid-February. If you need a veggie list just let us know, we will help you out! The delivery date is March 5th.
Hunter Thomas asked instead of giving him gifts for his birthday this past November to make donations for his friend Ryder Knight’s hospital that he visits often for checkups. He received many gifts to be donated and they were also able to donate toys to Riverside Hospital as well. Ryder’s Nana Karen Jenkins delivered gifts to Natalie Sharp at the hospital to help spread the love. Hunter is the son of Kristen and Justin Thomas, and Ryder is the son of Heather and Jason Knight. Thank you boys for being so sweet.
If you have any upcoming events, birthdays, family reunions, or trips you would like to share just message or email me anytime. I hope you all have a wonderful week! We shall see what season we are in day to day this week. After all, we are in Louisiana and each day is a different season!
