Our Pre-K classes had a wonderful trip to Mrs. Heather’s Strawberry Patch in Albany, Louisiana last week. We were able to pick strawberries, have our faces painted, jump on the jumping pillow, and play on the playground area. It wasn’t too terribly hot, but it was nice to sit under the big white tents to have lunch and relax a minute. We hope to go back for a visit again next year.

Enon Elementary School begins LEAP testing this week. Please make sure your child eats a good breakfast, goes to bed early, gets to school on time, and stays as stress free as possible. Our Pre-K class visited the “Big” Library in Enon on Friday. We celebrated Earth Day and planted some cotton seeds. We were also able to browse through some books as well. The students love visiting the ladies at the library and chatting with them. We know that y’all would love it too. Stop by for a visit and see what new books they have for you to check out. The theme of the Summer Reading Program is Oceans of Possibilities. Check out their list of activities for the summer. I am excited about all of the cool things that will be going on!
Enon has had many students make various teams and squads for Franklinton Jr. High School. Congrats to you all, we are so proud of you!
Kindergarten had a great trip to Culinary Kids in Mandeville for their field trip. That is one of my favorite places to go and Sherri the owner is AMAZING and knows her stuff!
The school year is beginning to wind down, but school isn’t over yet. We have a lot of testing, fieldtrips, programs, etc to complete. I hope you all have a wonderful week and I look forward to you sharing information about upcoming events and exciting things going on in your lives with me to share in the paper. Until next week….
