Last week I wrote of the loss of our Fire Chief James Jones from District #8 fire department. His funeral was last Tuesday, and let me tell you, if you have never been a part of a firefighter funeral, much less a military and firefighter funeral all in one? The power and emotion behind each of them individually is amazing, but together? I still have chills. I know he would be so proud of how everything was handled, and I must compliment his sweet family wearing his signature overalls for the funeral. You all are in our prayers, and we love you!
I hope all of the mothers out there had a great Mother’s Day. It doesn’t matter if you are a mama to a two legged or four legged “child”, I hope you all had a fabulous day. My girls and husband took me out to eat at Middendorf’s and to the Infinity Science Center. (Stennis Space Center) My mama is in TN right now, so we will be celebrating soon. Supper was spent with my in-laws, enjoying burgers and all the fixin’s.

Congrats to Mrs. Linda Richardson who was the winner of the Mother’s Day drawing from the Enon Library. The Washington Parish Library is looking for a part-time worker in the Bogalusa Library.
Make sure you have your child registered for Pre-K. We are looking forward to all the new faces we will be seeing next year!
The school year is winding down, but we have so much to finish before it is over! May 18th will be Kindergarten and Pre-K graduation. May 20th will be a half day for students. This last week we had an AMAZING Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you to all who helped make it such a great week! We enjoyed all the goodies and gifts.
Franklinton High School Seniors were able to walk the halls of Enon one last time before graduation. I am so thrilled that they started this because next year it will be my child (Gracie) walking the hall! I am not quite sure if I am ready for that, but it is surely coming.
Summer is right around the corner and students as well as teachers are READY to rest and recharge! I hope you all have a great week and enjoy your time spent with friends and family. Until next week…….
