It is the last week of school!! This is a crazy busy week for teachers and students as well. Getting last minute paperwork and testing completed, grades entered, among other things can be so stressful. I hope each of your kids had a great school year and are ready for a relaxing Summer Break! I know we are here at my house! I can’t wait to get my house and shed cleaned out this summer. Well, at least figure out what to do with stuff and where to put it!
Vacation Bible School is coming to Enon Baptist Church! Big Fish Bay-Hooked on God’s Mercy will be June 13-17 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Zona Summer Kick-Off will begin May 25th for the Youth. They will meet every other Wednesday from 5 pm to 7 pm. There will be an Ice Cream Outing on May 22nd-meet at the church at 5 pm. Camp Fuego is June 27th to July 1st. The Youth and Counselors are excited, and I know they will have an amazing time, learning more about God. The Children in Action will have a camp out at Riverbend Campground May 20th-May 21st. Blessing of Food will be May 21st. We have almost reached our goal for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, you still have time to give if you would like. May 18this the last day for Pre-K and Kindergarten at Enon Elementary School. The Pre-K program is at 10:30 am, Kindergarten graduation at 8:30 am, and 6th grade awards at 1 pm. May 19th 1st grade awards at 8 am, 2nd grade awards at 9 am, 3rd grade awards at 10 am, 4th grade awards at 12 pm, 5th grade awards at 1 pm. May 20th is the last day of school for 1st-6th grade, school will dismiss at 11:30 am. The Enon Library has a Community Zoom Financial Workshop going on, if you need more information, contact the library. There will be a History Harvest June 3-June 4 at the Louisiana State Archives in Baton Rouge. This is hosted by the Old State Capital, and is called “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America”. Make sure your child is registered for the Summer Reading Program. They will have summer movies and activities all summer long.
I know many of you are getting ready to take vacations and spend time with family and friends. Feel free to message me about any graduations, family reunions, parties, weddings, births, etc that may be happening. Congratulations to all the high school and college graduates!
