I must say I have a lot of talented friends. I know a lot of folks have been picking their gardens or going to a “you pick it” place, and the pictures of all the gorgeous vegetables and fruits are spectacular. It is amazing all the things you can create!
I have seen salsa, canned beans, squash, pickled cucumbers, and oh my goodness the corn! My favorite is the corn, especially creamed corn like my Maw Maw Delta Mae used to make! It makes my mouth water thinking about it!
This week begins Big Fish Bay Vacation Bible School for Enon Baptist Church. It will be daily June 13-17 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Please bring a Pringle can if possible. Blessing of Food will be June 25th. The Youth are getting ready for Camp Fuego (church camp) June 27-July 1. Please be in prayer for them as they travel and learn more about the Lord. I have two Youth who will be going, and I am so excited for them to go and make memories.
Happy birthday to Mason Inabnitt, Grace Mitchell, Suzanne Hughes, Lynette Polkey Brumfield, Todd Newman, and Rose Bond.
There will be a special program at the Enon Elementary School Auditorium on June 15th at 2 pm. Ariane Trammel and her sidekick, Fais Do the Alligator, will have great stories and activities for kids and adults as well. I do believe the Summer Reading Program is going swimmingly well! I have seen a lot of crafts and kids reading or listening to stories.
Please make sure you check out the Washington Parish School Board website or the Enon Elementary School website for the 2022-2023 school year calendar. I hope you all have a great week.
Try to stay cool and enjoy time reading a good book or spending time with friends and family. Until next week!
