I recently had an encounter where my Faith was tested. While at a local grocery store, I was in line behind an elderly lady whose grocery cart was overflowing. After the cashier had bagged her groceries, it seemed like her cart was even fuller. After I completed my transaction, I proceeded to exit the store ahead of the elderly lady (I only had three small items).
There was a downpour of rain occurring when I got outside and the elderly lady exited the store behind me. This lady had no umbrella or raincoat and was about to walk right out in the rain, until I asked if I could help her. As I was preparing to put her many items in her vehicle, someone walking by held their umbrella over her head while she walked to her vehicle.
To make a long story short I got completely soaked but, by putting into action what I have studied in the scriptures I “kept the Faith” and took the time to help somebody. As I reflect back over that encounter, I am convinced that the elderly lady demonstrated Faith by daring to come out in that horrible weather alone, without anyone to load her groceries. She knew that God would provide a “ram in the bush” to help her, which was me :)
