As much as I love Mt. Hermon, sometimes it's nice to get away for a little while. Saturday night, me and my cousin/life long best friend, Leigh Anne Allen, went to Tiger Stadium to see Garth Brooks. The crazy thing is that I didn't even know about the concert until a week ago when Leigh Anne invited me. Her husband wasn't going to be able to go as they had planned. Then all during the week and even up until Saturday morning, things kept happening that made us think that we shouldn't go. My oldest son, Tristan said "if you don't go, you will regret it".
So with that, I was determined to go, and so glad I did, because Wow! What an amazing performance! According to Fox8 News, when "Callin Baton Rouge" was performed around 9:30 PM, a seismograph, located in the Nicholson Building on LSU's campus, recorded a small earthquake. Also, Trisha Yearwood made a surprise appearance and sang a few songs with Garth.
It was definitely the best concert ever! However, when the show was over, I was ready to get back to Mt. Hermon.
