It's Fair Week and the weather couldn't be more perfect! Even with the Fair being in Franklinton, that will not be a problem for us Mt. Hermon folks, because "All Roads Lead to the Fair".
Our local Blues musician, "Big Daddy O", will perform on the fairgrounds this Saturday at 1 PM. Keenan Knight and Tim Ernest will be joining him Down By The Branch.
Brooks General Store will be closing early this week. Wednesday-Saturday, the store and cafe will close at 5 PM. Brooks Chicken Shack will be serving up their famous chicken, hamburgers and much more at the fairgrounds this week!
Silver Creek Campground invites you all to "Halloween at the Creek", October 28th-30th. Friday night at 7 PM, the festivities begin with games and a DJ and dancing until 11 PM. Saturday at 1 PM, more games, followed by a costume contest for all ages. Trick or Treating around the campground will be from 6-7 PM, followed by a Haunted House tour, then a DJ with dancing and games. It's sure to be a weekend of fun for the whole family.

Congratulations to the 2022 MHS Jr High Homecoming Queen, Miss Meggan Fountain! Special thanks to the Homecoming Helpers: Miss Addie Brumfield-Sash Bearer, Miss Sadie Rawls-Flower Girl and Miss Jordyn Ladner-Crown Bearer.
It was a Homecoming victory for the Jr. High football team as they defeated the Varnado Wildcats 46-6! MHS is proud of you all! Their next game is at Pine on October 25th at 6 PM. The chanmpionship game is also at Pine on November 1st.
The Mt. Hermon School Fall Festival will be Friday, October 28th, from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM, on the MHS football field. Admission is free! There will be games, candy tables, dunking booth, costume contest, food and more. Vendors welcome! Bogue Chitto Baptist Church
BCBC members will be giving out water at the water booth in the commercial building on Friday from 12 PM-1 PM. They will also be in Half Moon Bluff Baptist Church and the coffee booth from 1 PM-2:30 PM on Saturday.
The Fall Festival is October 29th from 11 AM-2 PM. Come dressed in your favorite decade fashion. Many activities such as face painting, balloon animals, cake walk, hatchet throwing and sack races, along with Louis's Pizza and Prayer. Everyone is welcome!

October is Pastor Appreciation Month! Pastor Randall and Sis Suzonne Garcia are very much appreciated by all. Next Sunday, October 30th, there will be Dinner on the Ground immediately following the morning service. Everyone is to bring their best dish and best dessert to honor the best Pastor and Pastor's wife.
