Mt. Hermon School
In celebration of Earth Day (April 22nd), a new trash can was donated to the school to help keep the campus litter-free. A huge thank you goes to Mrs. Patty Alford and the Washington Parish Tourism for the donation.
Congratulations to the MHS Yellowjackets who advanced to the Regional Track and Field Meet. Shunna Williams, Bailey Fortenberry, Kathrine Quin, Skye Williams, Deshaun James, Graycen Claunch, Demontre Taylor, Weston Fortenberry, Hayden Claunch and Brandon Tate. Regionals took place Monday, April 24th at McNeese State University.
MHS Golden Grad Reunion is May 6th, beginning at 9 AM, in the school cafeteria.
Silver Creek Campground
Make plans to attend the annual Crawfish Cook-Off on Saturday, May 13th at 10 AM. Register at the gate when you arrive. Team entry fee is $30, max of 3 people per team. You must bring your own sack of crawfish (minimum of 35 lbs.), boiling pot, burner, seasonings, etc. 1st place, 2nd place and People's Choice awards will be given. Get on out there to show off your boilin skills!

*Bogue Chitto Baptist Church is looking forward to their Homecoming and 150th Anniversary on May 7th. Less than two weeks away!
*Mt. Hermon Baptist Church will have a fundraiser meal this coming Sunday, April 30th, immediately after morning worship service. The Youth will be serving and all proceeds will go toward youth camp expenses.
*Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church welcomes everyone! We have Prayer Meeting on Tuesday nights at 7 PM, Bible Study and classes for children and youth on Wednesday nights at 7 PM. Sunday mornings at 10 AM is Worship Service and Sunday evenings is Hope Alive! Hope Alive is a faith based recovery for anyone with hurts, habits or hang ups. Doors open at 6:15 PM in the Fellowship Hall for coffee and snacks. The meeting begins at 7 PM in the sanctuary.
May 6th at 11 AM, a Ladies Luncheon will take place in the Fellowship Hall.
Last Thursday, the Young at Hearts met for lunch at Sugar Shack. They all had a wonderful time of fellowship, food and hearing a devotion and singing from Russell Garcia.
