I am very thankful to have had a blessed Thanksgiving with family, and lots of food. Now that all my Fall decorations are put away, Christmas decorating has begun!
The Mt. Hermon Ruritan Club deserves a big Thank You! Because of them, our little community, once again has Christmas lights, and they are beautiful! Take a ride through downtown Mt. Hermon, and you can’t help but to feel the Christmas spirit.
Santa Claus will be at Silver Creek Campground this Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. For only $6.00, you can receive a 4x6 photo with Santa.

Congratulations to two FFA members for placing at the Parish FFA Leadership Development Contest! Jolie Jones placed 1st in the Extemporaneous contest, and Emma Pena placed 2nd in the Prepared Speech contest. They will both advance to the District FFA LDE.
The Senior Citizens Holiday Luncheon is next Wednesday, December 8th at 11:30 AM. All Senior Citizens are invited to attend. The luncheon will be held at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. Please RSVP to MHS by calling 985-877-4642.
It’s Tournament Week (Dec. 1-4) for both high school basketball teams! The Lady Jackets are playing in Franklinton, while the Jackets are playing at Jewel Sumner.
Mt. Hermon Jr. High Basketball begins next week. Dec. 6th is the 7th grade Jamboree at MHS, and Dec. 9th is the 8th grade Jamboree at MHS. Good Luck to you all!
Bogue Chitto Baptist Church
Sunday, December 5th, at 8:30 AM, the men will have breakfast. All men are encouraged to attend.
December 14th, the WMU will meet at 10 AM. Bring a salad for lunch. All ladies are encouraged to attend.
Sunday, December 19th, during the morning service, they will have a special music service, followed by the Lord’s Supper. Soup and sandwiches will be served for lunch, along with Christmas fellowship afterwards. No service that evening.

The Men of Iron will have breakfast this Sunday at 8 AM.
This Sunday, December 5th at 6 PM, is the Christmas Cantata. They will also have a fellowship afterwards. Everyone is welcome!
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church
This Friday, December 3rd, is the Ladies Paint Party at 7. It will be lots of fun! Let Sis. Suzonne know if you plan to attend.
Next Saturday, December 11th at 2 PM, the kids will have a paint party.
The Young At Heart group will meet at the home of Earl and Rachel Gill on Saturday, December 11th.
