A Baby Dedication took place this past Sunday for Bethany Knight and a Baptism for Olivia Knight. They are the daughters of Jonathan and Linda Knight. It was certainly a blessed day! Also, recently, Raylee Hughes, daughter of Cody and Pattyce Hughes, was baptized. Their families and the church family are rejoicing!
Mt. Hermon School
Congratulations to a young lady who graduated from MHS in 2015 and recently graduated from LSU Medical School. She is now Dr. Karla Maree Martin, MD! Dr. Martin will soon begin her residency in Houston, Texas, training to become an Obstetrician/Gynecologist. Congratulations again! MHS is so proud of you!
Farmer's Safety Day was held last week for 3rd-6th graders. A big "thank you" goes to Minnie and Aubrey Posey, who have been successful in obtaining a grant for their agriculture safety program for over 23 years now. The program provides students with useful information and practical education on safety measure. Various professionals and experts across the board, such as Deputies Crowe and Creel from the WPSO who gave an informative lesson on firmarm safety, are involved in providing a comprehensive education on the program, making it even more impactful. The students received a goody bag and a T-shirt as a token of appreciation.
A Memorial Day Observance Ceremony was held Tuesday in the MHS gym. They paid homage to soldiers from Mt. Hermon and nearby areas who made the ultimate sacrifice.
