Happy Summer, everyone!
Silver Creek Campground is having a Kids Water Day Blowout next Saturday, June 10th. Water slides and bounce houses all day! Also, they will have a kids vs. adults water balloon war and a D.J. and Karaoke. It will be a day of fun for the whole family!
Mt. Hermon School
Last Monday, the Mt. Hermon School Speech Club did an amazing job of presenting the MHS Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony. All local military who died in action, were honored. They would like to thank their special guests, Mrs. Joni Sanders and Sheriff Randy Seal. Also, Ms. Tiffany Williams and Mrs. Miranda Fountain for all their hard work organizing this special program.
A Bloomer Bowl was hosted by the MHS Beta Club. The Juniors won the Championship game! However, they had to play hard to defeat the Freshmen. The cheerleaders were great sports and kept everyone entertained. All students who participated did great and everyone enjoyed the game!
An End of the Year Luncheon took place last week to celebrate the close of another successful school year, to recognize those who are retiring and to award the Teachers of the Year. The Teacher of the Year awards were given to: Mrs. Tammy Bourgeois-Elementary, Mrs. Tracy Phillips-Jr. High and Mrs. Eran Smith-High School. Congratulations to each of you!
The ones retiring are: Assistant Principal-Mr. Jeff Thomas, Teachers-Mrs. Tanna Brumfield and Mrs. Becky Foley and Bus Drivers-Mr. Raymond Garcia and Mrs. Lenora McIntyre. They will all be missed at MHS!

Bogue Chitto Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School June 19th-23rd, from 9 AM-12 noon.

Items that are needed this month for Operation Christmas Child are: combs/small hair brushes, pencils and pencil sharpeners.
Many were gathered at Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church to worship for Pentecost Sunday, which is the day the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ, as mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles, Acts 2:1-31.
Sunday night, at Hope Alive, we were blessed to hear the testimony of B. J. MIller as he told about what God has done in his life. It was also Chip night!
After church, we had a birthday celebration for our Pastor, Bro. Randall Garcia! Hope you had a wonderful birthday!
