Mt. Hermon Baptist Church
The Gaithers, a popular southern gospel vocal group, performed last week at First Baptist Church in Covington. Terry Moak, Sherry Simpson, Dot Gill, Cindy Alford, Jan Burch, Ruth Lewis, Judith Mixon and Cheryl Learned were blessed to see their performance.
Bogue Chitto Baptist Church
Washington Parish Youth Night of Worship was held this past Sunday evening at Westside Baptist Church in Bogalusa. Six youths from Bogue Chitto attended. They all enjoyed pizza and dessert, games, worship music and an engaging message about repentance. The youth group has been invited to attend the Walthall County Youth Night on August 27th. Make plans to join them!
Revival will be September 3rd-6th, featuring Tony Dardar and music by Broken Vessels. A fellowship meal will be served after the morning service on Sunday, September 3rd. Everyone is welcome!
They invite you all to join them for their regular church services at 9:30 AM for Sunday school, 10:30 AM for worship service, 5:30 PM for evening services and Wednesday Bible study at 5:30 PM.
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church
The young adults of the church have now formed a group called "Full House". We plan to have a get together once a month. This past Saturday night, we had our first get together at the church. If I counted correctly, we had thirty-two people there! The young adults and our children had a great time of playing games, eating delicious food and playing volleyball.
The Young at Hearts will meet this Thursday at 11:30 AM in Osyka, MS at The Burger Basket.
Mark your calendars to attend our Youth Revival on September 9th and 10th. Bro. Micah with the Puppet Pulpit will be there! All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend.
This weekend, you will have a chance to attend two conferences for women. Friday, August 18th at 7 PM, Reflection Women's Conference will take place at Amite Pentecostal Church. The guest speaker is Sis. Thetus Tenney. Saturday, August 19th from 9 AM-1:30 PM, Dr. Jennifer Williams will be the guest speaker at Woodlawn Pentecostal Church in Columbia, MS.
We missed Bro. Garcia and Sis. Suzonne last Sunday. Bro. Garcia was asked to preach in north Louisiana at Eros Pentecostal. However, Sis. Mandi Boyd brought us the message, and she did wonderful!
Let's all please continue to pray for rain. I don't remember it ever being this dry! Also, pray for the safety of the firefighters, as they have been very busy putting out brush fires and forest fires. A Parish-Wide burn ban on outdoor burning has been established as of last Monday, August 7th until the Parish President deems it unnecessary. With that being said, I hope you all have an amazing week and try to stay cool!
