Harvest greetings to everyone! Thursday is officially the first day of fall!
Join the folks at Silver Creek Campground for a Glow Party this Saturday, September 23rd. The fun starts at 1 PM with shirt painting (bring a shirt), at 3 PM, games will be played in the game field, face painting at 6 PM, then the Glow Party at 8 PM at the pavilion. It is sure to be a great time for all!
Mt. Hermon School
Dual Enrollment students will go on a field trip to Southeastern Louisiana University this coming Monday, the 25th.
MHS Jr. High football team plays Pine next Tuesday at Pine High School.
Mt. Hermon Baptist Church
The church-wide peanut boil is this Saturday at 5 PM.
Wednesday night activities have resumed! Supper is served at 5:30 PM. Prayer meeting, Disciple Kids and 3SixTeens youth class begins at 6 PM, and choir practice is at 7 PM. The choir has started practicing for the Christmas cantata. It will be here before you know it.
The Women's Bible Study group meets Wednesday mornings at 10 AM in the Education Building. They are studying Habakkuk. Join them September 20th and 27th.
Tuesday, October 3rd is a Girls Day Out. They will leave the church at 2 PM, go eat at Salad Station, then attend the movie "The Blind" in Covington. Please let Judith or Lisa Ann know by September 20th, so they can reserve tickets.
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church
Barbecue chicken dinners will be ready for pick-up October 7th. Please get orders in by September 29th at noon. Contact any church member to order.
The Young at Hearts will meet next Thursday at noon, at Sugar Shack in Franklinton. Anyone age 50 or older, feel free to join them for a time of food, fun and fellowship.
Section One Fall Ladies Rally is September 29th at 7:30 PM. Guest speaker will be Rev. Greg Albritton at New Life UPC in Bogalusa.
September 30th at 4 PM, Kristen Parker and Ryan Hunt will exchange wedding vows at MHUPC.
Sunny Hill Baptist Church
The Fall Fest is scheduled for next Saturday, September 30th, 4-6 PM. Bring the children for fun and games!
Bro. Danny Bishop will be guest speaker of Sunday, October 8th. Sunday school begins at 10 AM and worship at 11 AM. Sunday night service is at 6 PM, and Wednesday night Bible study, also at 6 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend.
