Big Daddy O will be performing at the Creek Stage (Down by the Branch), Saturday at 11:30 AM at the Washington Parish Free Fair. Tim Ernest and Keenan Knight will also be performing with him. Big Daddy O (Owen Tufts) looks forward to seeing his Mt. Hermon friends.

Bogue Chitto Baptist Church
Sunday was a fun day as the BCBC had their first Chili Cook-off! The grand prize winner was Ms. Cindy Miller Woodard! This was a fundraiser for Operation Christmas Child, presented by the WMU. They would like to thank everyone for the generous donations. They will be able to match, or even exceed, the number of boxes that were sent last year. They also would like to thank all the chili cooks, all who helped set up, serve, clean up and the esteemed judges, Junie Goings, Jon Pennel and Brad Williamson.
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church
A big thank you goes to all who bought a chicken dinner! 672 dinners were sold! Also, thanks to everyone for helping with preparing the food, handing out dinners and cleaning up.
The Young at Heart group will have their next monthly get together October 26th at noon. The place is yet to be decided. Anyone who is age 50 or older is welcome to join them for food, fellowship and fun.

Silver Creek Campground will have Halloween at the Creek the last weekend of the month. Bring the kids for lots of games, costume contest, haunted house, trick or treating and more!
